Natsuki and Kaoruko become close and eventually start a romantic relationship, but Kaoruko's status as a "taken" girl leads her to become arrogant and cause conflicts with other girls in their school. In order to feel valued again, Kaoruko decides to become the "princess" of the otaku club, which causes Natsuki to feel excluded and unsure of their relationship.
