Hugo: The Evil Mirror

"This is a 2D version of a 3D PS1 & PC game of the same name - Hugo: The Evil Mirror."

ITE Media·Namco· May 2, 2002· Port

This is a 2D version of a 3D PS1 & PC game of the same name - Hugo: The Evil Mirror. The backstory and gameplay ideas are the same as the 3D versions, but because of hardware limitations on the handheld consoles it was implemented as a 2D platform game. The GBA and GBC versions use different graphics, and while the GBA has some videos very similar to the PC/PS1 versions, the GBC has to make do with slideshows of still images for the story.

Released 2 May 2002 for Game Boy Advance by ITE Media, published by Namco. Rated E by ESRB, 0 by USK.

Story

The evil witch Scylla has trapped Hugo in a mirror, and now it's up to you to rescue him. In Hugo and the Evil Mirror, you must save Hugo in three different worlds, each guarded by dangerous monsters. Use the freeze gun to turn enemies into ice cubes, and then push them over the edge of the levels or combine them with other frozen monsters to gain power-ups.
