Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a new interactive animated adventure, where players must help Arzette save the Kingdom of Faramore from the evil demon king, Daimur. It is a spiritual successor to a pair of infamous fantasy adventure titles, being developed by Seedy Eye Software and both funded & published by Limited Run Games. The Kingdom of Faramore is beautifully realized by Rob Dunlavey, the artist behind the world map paintings from the games that inspired Arzette. Additionally, voiceover talent from the games that inspired Arzette will be featured in the game, including Jeffrey Rath and Bonniejean Wilbur.
Released 14 February 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 by Seedy Eye Software, published by Limited Run Games. Rated 16 by PEGI, 12 by USK.
Story
Long ago, the kingdom of Faramore fell under siege by the fearsome demon lord Daimur and his army of monsters, aided by the treacherous Duke Nodelki. King Rahklin, his daughter Princess Arzette, and their allies mounted a daring assault and, wielding the magical Jewel of Faramore, sealed the demon lord away within the Book of Oakurin, restoring peace to the land. Because the Jewel shattered into five shards with each use, the king ordered the pieces hidden separately to keep Daimur from ever returning. Ten years later, the disgraced Nodelki recovers the scattered shards and frees the demon lord, who grants him dark magic in exchange for his soul. With Daimur's shadow once more creeping across Faramore, Princess Arzette, the only one to keep honing her skills in peacetime, takes up the fight to save her kingdom.
